We’ve all heard it and said it before. “I just don’t know what you want (from me).” Well I’m here to argue that point. I think we do. We all want the same thing – yep, men and women alike.
We want to be loved.
We want to know that the people we care about the most care about us. Think about us. Value us. How do we do that? It’s not hard.
Ask them about their day and really listen to the answer?
Make their favorite food for supper.
Enable them to do something they enjoy without guilt.
Do one of “their responsibilities” without being asked to.
Tell them something you appreciate about them.
Pay attention to them.
Make their life a priority in your life.
“Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interest of others.” Philippians 2:4
I truly believe it is just that simple. My husband recently planned a brief time away. We rode our bikes and walked a nature trail. We were out in the beautiful autumn colors and away from our normal daily work for awhile. It was wonderful. I feel loved knowing he thought of me. What is one way you know your spouse loves you? What is one way you show them you love them?
