It’s morning. The house is chilly as the furnace just kicked on from the set back temperature and it’s dark outside. Why get up yet? Because if you do you will have time to exercise a bit AND have your quiet time before the busy day fully begins. I’m not good at doing this, but I’m learning day by day. Choices, it’s all about choices. When my husband worked at a homeless shelter he said the guys struggling with addiction said, “I can make it until midnight tonight.” They meant that if they could just get through this day and go to sleep they would be “clean” another day and every day they were they became stronger. So today, I”m going to make good choices for my own health, even though I’m going out to eat tonight with a friend who is coming through town. We’re going to the Cheesecake Factory, his choice. Mark is working on less sugar in his diet so maybe we can be strong together!
Today I got up and walked on our treadmill before I came to my corner of the world to sit and meet with God. It’s quiet here now. I love it. I’m choosing to say I will not get dessert tonight. We might share a piece between the 3 of us….maybe. None of us “need” it. I am drinking my water. My lunch for work is nearly ready, lean and mean since I know I’m eating out tonight. What choices will you make for your own health today?

Wednesdays are our MUST BE GOOD days. They hubby gets home around 6 and then is in bed around 8:30 to start his early shift so workouts don’t happen. We make sure we eat EXTRA healthy on these days. We are also hoping to do a sugar free week soon, as well.
