Finding Your Sweet Spot

March 8, 2016

Have you ever wondered what you were put on this earth to do? Every person is wonderfully and uniquely created with specific passions and talents that NO ONE else has on the planet. Do you believe this?

Many search all their lives to find and fulfill their purpose, but some never find it. Why? I’ve heard of fear, laziness, being unfaithful and lack of education as being big obstacles holding us back from our dreams (to name a few). I am guilty of all four! However, God has revealed His calling for me in many different ways over the last couple of years, which I want to share with you.

“If you could do anything, what would it be?” I have asked myself this question many times lately, and the clear answer has always included SURPRISES. It goes way beyond the simple excitement that a good surprise can create.

The purpose of surprises is to use my passions and gifts to show people how special and awesome they really are, with intentional thoughtfulness and creativity. If done right, I have found my “Sweet Spot.”

As a result of pursuing this God-given dream, any involvement with surprising others creates this overwhelming sense of joy, excitement and fulfillment inside my heart. Many times the night before a surprise event, it’s hard for me to sleep! It’s the same feeling I had growing up with playing basketball, my first passion.

One thing I’ve learned when dealing with planning surprises is that every one will be a little bit different. Why? Because each person has their own unique personality, interests, and passions, as well as things they dislike. What may work for one person (Ex. A Surprise Party) may not work for another.

Also, please know that asking for help does not make you weak or incompetent. It actually makes you strong and thoughtful to try and plan something special for your better half. Whether you don’t have the time, ideas, or simply want some assistance in planning something amazing, please reach out to me. I am here to help you!

Doing special surprises for others may be my Sweet Spot. What is yours? I encourage you to keep seeking for your calling if you haven’t found it yet. Who knows, your dream may be closer than you think! If you want more resources on this topic, I strongly encourage you to read the book “The Dream Giver” by Bruce Wilkinson (Recommended to me by the highly respected Mike Housholder).

The world needs that special gift that only you have. Share it with the world and see what happens!
