When we dare to enter a quiet space, we dare to enter into reality. Taking away those noisy distractions allows us to not only hear but see what is really going on. We could all use a little more of that.
We all have physical needs and desires, but I wonder if God has a bigger plan for this year than just to meet our perceived needs/wants? Are there areas He wants us to grow that will require being pruned, going through pain, growing in discipline and walking outside of our comfortable little boxes?
Grief is a part of life. Grief has no time limits. Grief can make life richer. I am thankful for grief.
And as I take a deeper look at myself, I see that look of distrust and hope in my face as well. Trust is always something that I’ve grappled with – something that always seems like a far off wish or hope.
